Night Time Camouflage Introduced
In a surprise move, the British Army has publicly announced their new line of combat clothing truly bringing the modern soldier into the 21st century. The CULT clothing (Combat Uniform Light Transmissive) has been designed in conjunction with leaders in the Visual Effects (VFX) industry and incorporates the latest in materials technology. While no more technical details have been released, it is thought that the uniform will become invisible to both the human eye and optical aides such as thermal imaging, infra red night vision and older closed circuit TV technologies.
In a statement from the MOD released this morning, Col. Black stated “This clothing is revolutionary. It will enable our forces to operate virtually without detection well beyond their existing capabilities.” The Colonel, responsible for the Army’s CULT project, also stated “While our clothing is invisible, we have not been able to transfer the technology to a soldier’s skin, boots, webbing or weapons. We envisage this technology being an additional 20 years away.”
So, in the mean time it looks like the modern battlefield will be awash with torso-less heads and boots carrying weapons. We will keep you informed as more details are released.

“When we turned the lights off it was if the target disappeared.”
