COVID-19
Unfortunately due to the global spread of the COVID-19 virus, all cadet activity for 2020 was cancelled from the end of March indefinitely. In response, this section of the website will use the resources available to us online to bring you a similar level of training to that which you would receive on a Wednesday afternoon. This is important so when it comes to resuming training, potentially September 2020 by the time we get up to full speed again, that you are at a suitable level to progress your CCF career.
The programmes on this page are mirrored on the CCF pages on Firefly (for Campbell College students only).
Recruits (Year 10)
What we will try to cover here are some of the basic lessons you would have received on field day or at easter camp. We don’t expect you to come away feeling like you know the subject, because ‘doing’ is far better than just reading, but hopefully the variety of lessons will help broaden your knowledge and keep you enthused for that time when we can get you into uniform and out training.

APC (Year 11)
At this stage in your CCF career you will most likely attended one of the two camps available to you, either easter or summer – or both! These lessons should help to revise the skills you learned while away on camp, and the knowledge checks to make sure you still have the information retained. By the middle of the summer term (equivalent), I hope to have introduced some more advanced topics to you. This is to make sure you are on track to complete your APC equivalent training as soon as we can when you return.

APCA (Year 12+)
You are the backbone of the CCF, with most of you hopefully having had a chance to lead a section as the IC or 2IC. I want to go through some lessons that will revise some of those basic skills you covered in APC and also to develop those APC Advanced Special to Arm (Infantry) skills that you will have had the opportunity to practice at camp and on the exercise weekends.

Bored?
Here are some ideas if you’re bored at home and want something to do.
- Learn British military vehicles and equipment until you get 100% in this quiz!
- Sort out your CCF uniform and equipment. Give it a wash, iron it, polish your boots and hang it up ready to deploy as soon as we can start training again.
- Pack a bug-out-bag (BOB). What if you had to leave home at a moments notice? What would you bring; water, food, first aid provisions, tools, clothes? Have a think and even start to get something together. Loads of great videos on YouTube for this!
